About Inland concrete products
George Hartzheim founded Aztec Concrete Products in 1966...
…manufacturing Dobies for the rebar fabricators and placers in Southern California. For over 30 years, Aztec Concrete Accessories, Inc. (“Aztec”, renamed in the 1980’s) was the leading manufacturer and distributor of both Dobies and plastic rebar support products throughout the western United States. In 1999, the company was sold and was absorbed into a larger organization.
In 2011, Inland Concrete Products, Inc. (ICP) was formed by two of the former Aztec owners: Doug Hartzheim and John Gilner. Initially manufacturing Dobies exclusively for Dayton Superior Corporation, ICP later expanded its footprint in the Dobie market by first providing the product line to another western region dealer serving the rebar fabricator community, and subsequently expanding its dealer network to include most major dealers serving the west region rebar fabricator community.
2019 brought the addition of a complete product line of plastic bar supports and plastic slab bolster. Recognizing that the market was lacking in innovation and quality, we designed a complete line of plastic accessories that provide additional features, functionality, and value to our customers. All of our plastic bar support products are state-of-the-art high-strength, high-performance products designed to meet the demanding environment created by reinforcing steel used in concrete construction.
Committed to our Values of Innovation Quality Timely Service
We ensure that every shipped product meets the highest quality control standards and delivers on our history of leadership in the concrete accessories marketplace.
Innovation
Our history has been one of innovation. We developed the industry’s first plastic on-grade chair that today is still a house-hold name. We strive to constantly improve product design, such as adding two cover heights on many of the Tilt Chairs and High Chairs, providing the most secure plastic bolster coupler in the industry, and the best performing on-grade chair available today . We think you’ll be pleased with the new creations coming this year from our innovative team of owners and employees.
QUALITY
Quality matters to us. Our Dobies typically exceed the compressive strength requirements for each application. Our plastic parts are all made from the newest technology in mold design and the plastic lines are crisp and clean. No mold flash and shabby looking parts coming from old molds.
Timely Service
Timely Service is a core value. We have what you need, when you need it. We’ve heard the stories of companies that can’t deliver as they try to exist with lean inventories…not us. We maintain the largest inventory of dobies in the country, and “Just in Time” inventory planning is not in our vocabulary. If you want it, send your truck and we’ll get it out the door.
